KIWI RAPPER OD ON HIS FEATURE IN 'PARANOID' BY TORONTO-BASED ARTIST EVA SHAW

Congrats on landing your first international album feature! We absolutely love the amazing new track “PARANOID” you feature on alongside Toronto artists Eva Shaw and Lindasson, and Washington D.C's Db Bantino. How did this collab come about?

The collab came about after I released my first play listed song "CHIPS" in 2020. Eva reached out after finding me on the 'Fresh Finds' US Spotify playlist. Since then, Eva and I have had a cool connection and shared vision. After sending some demos back and forth, Eva sent through the 'Paranoid' beat - I wrote the verse and hook in 20 minutes, laced it in my home studio and the rest is history.

Incredible! What's the inspiration behind this song?

For me, the song expresses the paranoia of one's love life in the modern dating world. With the bar saying "ima always keep it ... 10 toes down when you love me back" - this really just sums up the energy I have at the moment concerning relationships in this era and the loyalty I'm prepared to have if it's reciprocated.

What was the writing & production process for this like?

The writing process was super fast as I usually just go right off what I feel. This was a fun one because it was really stress free as Eva sent the beat. I sent the vocals and it was all ready to go.

What was your main highlight working on 'PARANOID'?

My main highlight was getting to work with amazing international talent like Eva Shaw, Db Bantino and Lindasson on an album I'm a massive fan of. Eva's production and diversity on the project really blew me away and it just makes me so happy to be able to be a part of that and represent my hometown overseas.

Do you have more music on the way soon?

YES!! I have a lot of music coming and to say I'm excited to share it is an understatement!
